As it states in My Rules, a deposit is required in order to consider your session officially booked. It is $75 (25% of basic session fee) and can be paid via CashApp, PayPal, or Venmo. The balance is due upon arriving in the studio and cash is fine. The purpose of this is to ensure that, should a client not show up to a session, I have not paused my work day and wasted my time going to the studio for nothing. It also helps make up for the fact that it’s too late for me to be able to book that time with someone else. Side note: please DO NOT add a note with your payment, unless it is something very basic like “thank you.”
Screening is NON-NEGOTIABLE; please include it in your inquiry message in the form of at least one of the following:
a provider reference you have seen within the last year
LinkedIn profile or comparable business website that includes your photo
photo of your state ID with name, photo, and birth date visible (this is for my safety; I’m not trying to stalk you)
I also require a current selfie so I know who I’m looking for when I come to greet you in the lobby of my building. I am happy to send you one of myself once I have received your deposit and screening info.
Please be prepared to meet in the public area (coffee shop/bar) of my building for up to 30 minutes prior to your first session. This additional time is at no charge to you and simply allows me to get a feel for you and what you’d like to get out of your session before we head up to the studio.

That is the full extent of services on offer for dates. Seriously.

The only time I’ve ever accepted a cash deposit was because the gentleman offered to pay me an extra $100 Pain-in-My-Ass Tax (😂) for the trouble, and met me at a place of my choosing. We were able to take care of his initial screening meeting at that point though.

If I’ve booked your appointment, it means I’ve also claimed use of my shared studio, meaning I’m not the only small business owner who loses out if a client doesn’t show up. A deposit helps ensure that my time has not been entirely wasted if the session falls through.
– Cancelation with more than 24 hrs notice receives a full refund on deposit.
– Cancelation with 24 hrs notice or less forfeits your deposit, as do no-shows, of course.
